Karen Caddy

Karen began as a volunteer in the U.S. office of Amigos de Jesús.  She came across the call for volunteers by chance, but immediately felt welcomed by everyone involved with Amigos.  Once offered a position to join the U.S. team, Karen knew this was the right fit. She could not be more excited to learn and grow with Amigos.

Prior to Amigos, Karen was a Florist and then Bakery Manager for a specialty grocery retailer.  The retailer often partnered nationally with large nonprofits such as No Kid Hungry and JDRF, and Karen became involved in implementing community fundraisers at the store-level to benefit local chapters of these organizations.  It was then that Karen realized she wanted to pursue a career in nonprofit development, so she went back to school.

Karen continued to work full-time as a Bakery Manager while earning her Master’s of Public Administration from Villanova University.  She is proud to bring her Nova values, knowledge, and experience to Amigos.  Karen also holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Delaware.  She has a very close-knit family, all natives of Philadelphia and the Philly ‘burbs, and loves when they road trip to National Parks together.
